Privacy Policy

iamartisan.dev is a free collection of developer tools run by Tahsin Abrar ("I", "me"). Everything you type, paste, or upload into a tool is processed inside your own browser and is never sent to a server. The site does, however, use two Google services that set cookies and collect usage data: Google Analytics (traffic statistics) and Google AdSense (advertising, which keeps the tools free). This page explains both, and how to opt out.

JSON, tokens, passwords, regular expressions, images, files and every other input are processed with JavaScript in your browser tab. They are not uploaded, logged, or shared with me, Google, or anyone else. Analytics and advertising scripts do not receive tool inputs or outputs.

• Tool history is saved in your browser's IndexedDB so you can restore earlier work. It stays on your device. Clear it with the clear-history button in any tool's sidebar, or by clearing site data in your browser.
• Preferences — your light/dark theme choice and whether you have dismissed the cookie notice — are saved in localStorage.

I use Google Analytics 4 to understand which tools are used and how people find the site. Google Analytics collects information such as pages viewed, referring site, browser and device type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. It sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*). I see only aggregated reports, not individual visitors.

You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by declining analytics cookies in the consent message where one is shown.

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Google and its partners may collect your IP address, browser and device identifiers, and information about the pages you visit in order to deliver, measure, and personalise ads, and to prevent fraud. You can control personalised advertising:

• Opt out of personalised ads from Google at Google Ads Settings (My Ad Center).
• Opt out of personalised ads from many other vendors at aboutads.info/choices (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU/UK).
• If you opt out you will still see ads, but they will not be based on your browsing history.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform asks for your permission before advertising and analytics cookies are used. Until you choose, Google Consent Mode keeps ad and analytics storage turned off. You can change your choice at any time:

If you send a message through the contact form, your name, email address and message are delivered to me through Netlify Forms and stored by Netlify so that I can reply. I use them only to respond to you and delete them when they are no longer needed.

• Netlify hosts the site. Like any web host it processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Netlify privacy policy.
• Google Fonts serves the site's typefaces; Google receives your IP address when the fonts load. Google privacy policy.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California privacy law) you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data. I do not hold personal data beyond contact-form messages; requests about data held by Google can be made through your Google account or Google's privacy controls above. For anything else, contact me.

I do not sell personal information.

The site is intended for developers and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). I do not knowingly collect data from children.
